Between Structures is an independent analytical platform examining how ideas move through institutions and how institutions shape the choices individuals and societies make. Drawing on international studies, economics, political thought, and media analysis, the essays published here focus on the space where theory meets practice.
Rather than offering quick conclusions, the blog emphasizes long-form reasoning, interdisciplinary connections, and reflective inquiry. Each piece engages with real-world systems social, political, and economic to understand how abstract concepts translate into lived outcomes.
Between Structures is a space for sustained thinking: a place to question how systems function, where they fail, and what thoughtful leadership might require in an increasingly interconnected world.

I am Melis Kosif, a high school senior navigating a rigorous academic curriculum and using writing as a space to synthesize what I learn to interrogate ideas, articulate evolving perspectives, and refine my interpretations of the world around me. I built this website because I could not find the kind of writing I was searching for as a young person: essays that confront questions that are unresolved, ambiguous, or still forming.
This platform is therefore both an archive of inquiry and a laboratory of thought. In the future, I aim to found my own company and develop innovations shaped by curiosity, disciplined analysis, and an enduring commitment to purposeful design. This site traces that intellectual and entrepreneurial trajectory, one idea at a time.
